USA@250! We are on the last leg of a 27 year project to document our local Warwick Revolutionary War veterans. The stories they recorded in their pension depositions in court are amazing! We have found over 90 pension applications and proof of the service of over 2,300 men who say they were commanded by Hathorn at some point during that long war.
Here is a sample application... Joel Bower, who served under Hathorn and also in the Continental Line, as an old man recalled where he was when John Andre was executed, and how escaped the capture of Ft. Montgomery. Follow link below for the whole document...

On this day 250 years ago, Henry Wisner of Goshen took his seat at the first Continental Congress. HIs signature is on the Articles of Association, adopted October 20-- an economic boycott in response to the Intolerable Acts. He later signed the first Petition to the King, the Oath of Secrecy, the Olive Branch Petition, and was present for and voted for the Declaration of Independence (and rushed off home to oversee gunpowder production before the copies were ready for signing).
