Warrington (Township) Historical Society (Pennsylvania, Bucks County) The number of members is small, but the accomplishments are growing. Join an interesting and energic group and share in it's Warrington Twp contributions!

Since the formation of the Society the following tasks have been completed:
• Society bylaws were developed and passed in the summer of 2007.
• Society completed the requirements to be registered as a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization under 501(c)(03) of the Internal Revenue Code in the fall of 2007.
• Society released a 240-page history which contains more than 200 photographs and captions that illustrate the township’s long past in February 2009. This book is a part of Arcadia Publishing’s Images of America series. All profits from the sale of the book go to the Warrington Historical Society.
• As part of a restoration project of a one room school house (10 Folly Road), the society researched and drafted a document that provides a detailed history which was provided to the Townships Board of Supervisors and included in grant applications. In addition the Society started interior demolition of a one room school house by working with an area Eagle Scout on creating and initiating the project in November 2009.
• Society applied for and received $1000 grants from Prudential in both 2009 and 2010. Part of the funds received from these grant were used to purchase artifacts at auction from the Paul / Penrose farm, which had been part of the township's history since 1722. Farming implements from the 19th century including hay rakes, scythes, and a grain cleaner were purchased. At this point in time, the Society is made up of 23 memberships. Meetings are held at the Township Administration Building on Easton Road the second Monday of every month and newsletters are distributed to members quarterly. We are in desperate need of additional active members to help us meet the goals listed in our mission statement. Specific needs include: Accounting, Grant Writing, Publicity, and Light Construction to name a few. Please consider the Warrington Historical Society as a volunteer activity the entire family can take part in.

I want to thank everyone who stopped by Stewart Ballard’s Schoolhouse Gift Shop after seeing our video.
I went back today to pick up another book, and Stewart asked, “Are you the gentleman who put me up on the internet?” 😂
He said more people have been coming in and mentioning the video, and he was especially happy that people were interested in history.
He tried not to charge me for the book, but I insisted. He finally agreed to only take $20. We ended up talking for quite a while about old houses and local history.
If you were planning to stop by but haven’t made it yet, please do. You’ll absolutely make this old man’s day.
P.S. Bring old fashioned cash.

We hope to see you Saturday
