Today, on Purple Heart Day, we honor the brave men and women who were wounded or killed in service to our nation.

The Purple Heart is one of our nation's oldest and most revered military decorations - a symbol of extraordinary sacrifice made in defense of the freedoms we hold dear.

To every Purple Heart recipient and to the families who have stood beside them, thank you. Your courage, resilience, and sacrifice will never be forgotten. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ’œ

20 years ago, a group of concerned citizens joined together with the mission of honoring our Veterans and preserving military history. In 2006, the Patriots Hall Association founded the military museum to honor all Veterans and share the stories of the men & women who have served. The name has been changed to Oconee Military Museum, but the dedication to remembering and teaching our military history is the same.

By the generous donations of our dedicated supporters, along with city & county grants, the museum has operated with no admission fee for 20 years. Due to the increasing costs of maintaining the exhibits in this beautiful old building, we need some financial help. Any amount you can contribute will be greatly appreciated.
