We would like to give a HUGE shout-out to 2 of our best assets, Patsy Earnhardt and Jerry Stubblefield for redoing the back deck over at the General Store Museum!! It looks wonderful and is much safer now. They installed a new fan inside the building as well, so come enjoy the cool air and glance through the historic products lining the shelves!

The General Store Museum is open Thursdays and Fridays from 11 am-4 pm and Saturdays from 11 am-2:30 pm.

We are honored to be a recipient of a $5000 grant from Duke Energy for the America250! With this grant, we will be starting Phase 1 of improving and redesigning our exhibits. If you would like to contribute to the remodeling of our exhibits, visit our website or donate in person.

We had a blast on Saturday for our Flag Day celebration! Thanks to everyone who came out and a special thank you to Dave Loucks for sharing your revolutionary flag knowledge!!🇺🇸🇺🇸

The Oconee 250th photo background will be up through the 4th of July, so come and get your picture taken with replica Revolutionary War garb and props!

Help us with our goal of getting our Collections fully documented by purchasing items on our Amazon Wishlist. We have a wonderful group of volunteers, plus a Leadership Oconee group that are helping us. We just need the supplies to complete the project. If you don't want to purchase on Amazon, you can purchase an item and bring it by the museum or you can make a donation towards this project. Any contribution will help us preserve the history and heritage of Oconee County!
