Today, we honor Juneteenth by celebrating Black creativity, artistic innovation, and the power of visual expression.

The work of Tarrence Corbin exemplifies the ways artists transform ideas into experiences, using color, form, and movement to create works that are both deeply personal and universally engaging.

We are proud to share his work with our community and to continue creating spaces where artistic voices can be seen, experienced, and celebrated.

This special community exhibition features artwork created by local Veterans, highlighting their creativity, experiences, and perspectives through a variety of artistic mediums.

Join us for an expanded reception on July 3 from 5:00–9:00 PM as we celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the United States with the Veterans' Exhibit, live music, food trucks, local vendors, a cash bar featuring frozen margaritas, and a bouncy house obstacle course for kids.

Free and open to the public.

Alethea Dossett Brooks Bateman, of Waco, died peacefully Sunday, June 7, 2026, surrounded by her family.

A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home, and we will celebrate Alethea’s life with a memorial service at 1:00 pm on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church, 515 Columbus Avenue, with The Rev. Samantha Smith officiating.
