Today we are celebrating our 45th birthday!

Since 1981, the Texas Tennis Museum and Hall of Fame has been preserving the people, moments, and memories that define Texas tennis. From championship trophies and historic racquets to the legends who built the game in our state, every exhibit tells part of the story.

As we celebrate this milestone, we thank the supporters, volunteers, inductees, and visitors who have helped keep these stories alive for future generations.

Texas tennis legends gathering together is always a special occasion!

On Thursday, June 11, the Texas Tennis Hall of Fame's North Texas Regional Coordinator Carol Weyman hosted a Hall of Fame inductee lunch, bringing together fellow Texas Tennis Hall of Fame members Barbara Camp, Laura Gilbert, Joyce Dreslin, and Kathy Langer for an afternoon of fellowship, conversation, and shared memories.

The group enjoyed a wonderful lunch while exchanging ideas and discussing ways to continue celebrating and preserving the rich history of tennis in Texas. We are grateful for the passion, leadership, and lifelong contributions these Hall of Famers have made to our sport.

On Monday, March 30, the Texas Tennis Hall of Fame was honored to be part of the Fayez Sarofim & Co US Men's Clay Court Championship at River Oaks Country Club in Houston.

Houston-area inductees in attendance included Sammy Giammalva, Cindy Benzon, Bev Taylor, Emily Schaefer, Chris Bovett, Chuck Sanchelli, Tommy Connell, Linda Thomas, and Lori McNeil. Together, they were recognized for their lasting impact on the game of tennis in Texas and were honored with a standing ovation from the crowd.

A standout moment was Hall of Fame inductee Emily Schaefer participating in the opening coin toss.

Thank you to the tournament for showcasing the rich history of Texas tennis on such a prestigious stage.
