Happy First Day of School, Storey County!
As students across the county head back to school, we’re celebrating 150 years of learning at the Historic Fourth Ward School! From the students pictured here to the generations who followed, the halls of the Fourth Ward have been filled with curiosity, friendship, and discovery for a century and a half.
Here’s to a new school year, and to 150 years of students, teachers, and supporters who made this school part of the Comstock story! 🏫✨

Some new greenery is taking root at the Fourth Ward School Museum this summer! Special thanks to University of Nevada, Reno Extension for leaving some local pollinators with us after participating in the 2026 Educational Kids Fair. These plants have bee planted around the schoolhouse, and we can't wait to see them grow! 🌱
