Yoga at the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art with Bhav Brigade✨

Join me, Kayla Monroe () this Saturday Morning for a beginner yoga practice. Through a practice of asana, pranayama and meditation, we’ll cultivate space to return to yourself!

Once the class is over, take your time to enjoy the museum - no need to rush out.

When: 8 November 2025, 9-10AM✨
Where: at the Rodriguez Pavillion
Who: Anyone and everyone of any experience, all are welcome

CALLING ALL ARTISTS!

CALLING ALL VIRGINIA ARTISTS! Made in VA is back and bigger than ever.

For nearly 30 years, we’ve been committed to amplifying the voices of Virginia artists through our annual juried exhibition. Today we’re thrilled to share that Made in VA is transitioning to a biennial. Every other year, we’ll dedicate an expanded gallery space to the juried exhibition, enabling us to showcase a wider range of artistic voices and visions. This expansion will also mean more prizes and professional opportunities for participating artists.

As the exhibition soars to new heights, we invite all eligible Virginia artists to share their unique talents.

ELIGIBILITY:

All artists over 18 currently residing in Virginia.
Work in all mediums created within the past two years will be considered.
Works submitted for the Biennial must be available for the duration of the exhibition if selected.

JURORS:

Lauren Leving, curator-at-large at Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland moCa, associate curator for the OCMA / Orange County Museum of Art 2024 California Biennial, and co-curator of Everlasting Plastics, originally presented in the U.S. Pavilion during the 2023 Venice Architecture Biennale

Maya Brooks, assistant curator of contemporary art at the North Carolina Museum of Art and Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art (SECCA)

Heather Hakimzadeh, Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art senior curator

The Made in VA Biennial will be on view July 11, 2024–January 5, 2025.

Help us share the news that 75+ businesses and artisans in are participating at bricks and mortar storefronts or via pop-up events in ViBe Park Virginia Beach, at The Garage VB, Virginia Beach Art Center - home of The Artists Gallery, and Hearth Wood Fired Cuisine & Craft Beer.

Live music, food trucks, a neighborhood scavenger hunt, and more. The grand prize scavenger hunt totals over $1,000 in items, gift cards and cash-- come out and enjoy the day so that you can enter to win.

Thank you 13News Now - WVEC for sharing our Pride in the ViBe 2023 event happening tomorrow 1-6pm in ViBe Park in partnership with Chesapeake Bay Distillery pride bottle release and Hampton Roads Pride!!

After party at Esoteric 6-9pm, too!

There will be 40 community vendors, four food trucks and two DJs.
