TEN DAYS -- JUST TEN DAYS -- until the HSMC Spring Fling Craft and Vendor Show on Saturday, May 9th, from 9 - 2, in the KC Hall (Hwy 63N & 6th Street, Vienna). What a way to kick off Mother's Day weekend with mom! Our vendor countdown today is all about those seamstresses that are so hard to find today. But we did, and they will be at the show sharing their sewing skills with us! If you need a good baby gift, this is the place to start that shopping!
Linda Piel is back with her beautiful jelly roll runners, embroidered towels in soooo many designs, quilts and more! Local talent Debbie Deeken is bringing her variety of crocheted cuties that are perfect for the little ones in your life. Sharon Ocheskey is bringing her talents with her jelly roll runners, quilted items, and so much more. Amy Mahalovich returns with her crowd favorite children's hooded bathtowels; if you've ever had one, you will be back for more. Finally, Wanda Sieber rounds out the crowd with her cloth children's books, kitchen towels, and a variety of creative designs just for you!

Our vendor countdown today is all about those seamstresses! An exceptional and rare talent today. So, who do we have with that needle and thread?
First up we have Linda Piel, bringing her sewn jelly rolls, quilts and much-loved machine embroidered towels; she has one for everyone! Debbie Deeken returns with her beautifully hand-crocheted little friends which make a perfect lovey for the little ones in your life! The very talented Sharon Ocheskey returns with her beautifully sewn table runners, towels, bowl holders, card holders and so much more. We can't have a show without Amy Mahalovich's children's hooded bath towels -- if you have ever had one, you will know what we are talking about! Finally, Wanda Sieber brings her children's cloth books, crocheted towels and so much more.
So, is your list getting longer? We hope so!

We hope so, because we have sooooo many great vendors that will be there ready to show you what they have been working on! Today's vendor countdown is about keeping clean. Let's see what we've got!
First up is Mary Lea Berhorst with Norwex -- stock up folks while you can! Next is a crowd favorite, Martha Reeves, with her beautifully scented hand-poured soaps. You can't leave without a bar or two or three, and of course you need to get a few for mom. New this year is Christa Curtis with Celie's Candle and Soap Co. She will be bringing goat milk and honey soaps, beef tallow balms and more. Let's give her a hearty welcome!

Everlasting Bonds will be in the house to help you with permanent jewelry; bring Mom and Jessica will work with you for the perfect choice. Kristy Dill with the Pickled Spoon is back with her beautifully handcrafted spoon jewelry. Nikki Bilbrough, the Pretty Possum Designs, brings a wonderful selection of handcrafted jewelry to update your spring wardrobe and get that shopping underway! Noah Agnew again offers a beautiful selection of leather earrings and gifts and Dawn Dloughy returns with Sunrise Splendor jewelry too.

THIRTEEN DAYS until the HSMC Spring Fling Craft and Vendor Show on Saturday, May 9, at the Vienna KC Hall from 9 - 2. As we continue our vendor countdown, grab that pen to keep that shopping list going. Here we go.....today is all about woodcrafters!
Bryan Adams is back with his beautiful array of wood cut items -- breadboards, coasters, shelving, you name it --- he's got it! The Makers Helpers, the Simmons Family, will be back with their fantastic signs -- get rid of that old dusty one on your porch or get one for mom! Jim Carney has his detailed woodworks -- coatracks, cabinets, ornaments -- all here! Anna Ramsey will be bringing her hand painted signs and designs -- she is always a hometown favorite! Finally, John Reeves will be showcasing his beautiful children's barns and birdhouses! This is a gift that will be a childhood favorite.
We can't wait to see you next week Saturday! Sooooo much to share!

Pumpkin rolls are back! That's right, Donna Jones is bringing her specialty cinnamon rolls and adding pumpkin rolls, too, just in time for Mother's Day weekend! Travis Crum is returning with his centrally farmed Missouri honey which pairs perfectly with Estefani's (Linda Schaben) and Holly McDaniel's sourdough breads in a variety of fresh, tasty flavors. The Thompson family is also bringing a great selection of Momma Anna's famous jams, jellies, butters and cakes for the Leo Thompson Family Memorial fundraiser. Folks, the KC Hall is the place to be next Saturday!

We have had a change in our summer open house tours for the Old Jail Museum Complex. Due to ongoing construction at several of our buildings, bringing some much-needed upgrades, we will not be hosting a May 2 open house. Please refer to the flyer below for a corrected schedule for June and August. We hope to see you then and at our May 9th craft and vendor show at the Vienna KC Hall! Our Maries County Building renovations have left us with an abundance of dirt & rock. We have removed 5 dump truck loads of fill, with approximately 15 more loads available. Please come take what you need. Located off Mill Street in Vienna, MO.

A 67-year-old treasure found used as attic insulation, a trove of St. Louis Post-Dispatch newspapers from 1959!

While that's one way to preserve history, it's not recommended 😂
