1929–2026

The art world has lost one of its most extraordinary and visionary voices.

Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama transformed polka dots, pumpkins, mirrored rooms, and infinite repetition into a universe entirely her own. Her pioneering career spanned painting, sculpture, immersive installation, performance, fiction, and poetry—challenging boundaries and inspiring generations around the world.

Kusama continued creating until her final days, remaining devoted to her lifelong exploration of infinity, love, and the eternal soul.

Her brush may now be still, but her vision will continue into infinity.

Rest in peace, Yayoi Kusama. Your remarkable legacy will live forever.
