The Morgan County Historical Society working with the Versailles Community Betterment at the dunk tank on July 3 at the Versailles City Park. Thank you, David Marriott, Robbie Harrelson, Conner Crowe, Jake Yeokum, Andy Moon, Keith Homan, and everybody else that helped out! I apologize for the ones I did not list. I didn’t get everybody’s name. Randy Francis was the Train conductor. And of course, David Vogt. The City of Versailles put on a great event. Followed by a magnificent fireworks display. Thank you City Of Versailles, and everyone else that made it happen. I’m proud that we could be a part of it.

The museum will be closing at noon on Thursday July 2nd due to a private event. We will be resuming normal hours after that.

Today is the last day to come to the museum and take a tour & see the Orphan Train Exhibit. We are open till 3

Just a reminder we still have the Traveling Orphan Train exhibit at the Museum until Saturday the 27th be sure to stop in and get a tour! We are open everyday 10am-3pm until then.

Our President Lea Jones was inducted in to The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution and while we were there the museum got a Certificate of Appreciation from DAR Rock Island Chapter for our help in research and finding families that Linda our Genealogy Department Director provided
