Two new artists moved in this week, both from Pratt Institute as part of our joint residency program. Borinquen Gallo joins from Pratt School of Art and stay tuned to see what she makes on June 25th for Open Studios!

Borinquen Gallo is an Italian-Puerto Rican multi-disciplinary artist whose work delves into themes of material personal and social transformation, community development, reimagined socio-cultural systems and structures, through sculpture and installations made using a range of repurposed materials. Her work is developed both individually  and collaboratively through participatory initiatives including public schools, museums, community and cultural organizations.

Two new artists moved in this week, both from Pratt Institute as part of our joint residency program. Ari Elefterin comes from Pratt’s School of Design. They’ll be at KinoSaito until the end of June, so be sure to see their work on June 25th during Open Studios.

Ari makes work for and about the human body. Their projects often incorporate still and moving imagery alongside performance, drawing from their diverse background in graphic and industrial design, education, and dance. Using sense theory (their favorite is touch), speculation, ethnographic frameworks, and a process-based approach, they seek to invigorate the imagination of their audience and spark new methods for moving through the world. Often dealing in subject matter related to human health and our relationship with nature, their goal is to contribute to a more holistically considered future.

Love in the Archive Film Series: Films from the Fluxus Archives

29 May 2026 | 6pm | RSVP Required
FREE for members | $10 for non-members

Alison Knowles (b. 1933-2025) was an American visual artist, poet, and founding member of Fluxus. The Fluxus group ethos sought to disassemble traditional barriers between art forms, while rejecting the exclusivity of the art world in favor of art as an open and participatory experience accessible to all.

The Misfits - 30 Years of Fluxus is an unconventional video portrait of the Fluxus movement, produced largely in Venice at the 1990 reunion, when many of the original Fluxus artists met for a major exhibition in connection with the Biennale, almost thirty years after the first iconoclastic Fluxus concerts were held in cities around the world.

“Topless Cellist” Charlotte Moorman is Nam June Paik's heartfelt tribute to his long-time collaborator Charlotte Moorman. This portrait traces Moorman's career as an avant-garde performer, from her classical training to her notorious arrest as the "Topless Cellist" and subsequent talk-show celebrity.
