We not only provide private music lessons and art classes for ages 7 and up, provide piano tuning, do commissioned artwork & paint parties, but we also host the nonprofit organization YCME Homeschool Music Academy I teach art classes for ages 7 to adult, private music lessons in band and orchestra instruments and piano, small chamber groups, and group classes in band and orchestra through YCME.

Bring your homeschooled kids to try the instruments to see if they want to be in Beginning Band or Beginning Orchestra in YCME. Absolutely no music experience necessary. Ages 10 & up. Flute, clarinet, sax, trumpet, trombone, & percussion for band. Violin, viola, cello, or string bass for Orchestra. Classes start Sept 14. Check out www.homeschoolmusicacademy.org

A great way for you to enjoy art & teach your kids that there are all kinds of ways to do art & it is a lifetime enjoyment, not to mention a way to train them how to act in more formal public places, is to visit places like the Fort Smith Regional Art Museum. The annual invitational exhibit for professional artists, “Our Common Ground” is up now, and will be up through late October. This is my painting that is on display there: “Art Supplies for All”

We had a lot of fun & learning at our first Music Camp of the summer at the Cedarville Public Library! Watch for other camps at the Alma, Mountainburg, and Mulberry Libraries for kids K-6th grade where we learn all kinds of music concepts through playing games, singing, marching & choreography, playing instruments & more!

Our very first summer orchestra program goes from June 23-July 28 on Tuesdays from 6:15-7:30. Ages 10-adult with at least 1 school year of experience. No cost. Strings, winds, and percussion. Contact Karen at (479)719-5455 or [email protected] to sign up so music will be ready. Spread the word!
