Established in 1977, Art Barn School of Art is a not for profit organization located on 69 acres of beautiful pastoral farmland in Jackson Township. The renovated school is housed in a century old barn, and the farmhouse is artist residence. Each season inspires painters in oil, acrylic, and watercolor, sculptors, photographers, and art lovers from all over the country. Works of local and national

Thanks to Pines Village Retirement Communities for providing space for our art class with Opportunity Enterprises yesterday. Thanks to Pines Village's generosity, we were able to stay on schedule with our class with OE. Although we weren't able to see students at Art Barn, we were still able to provide important arts programming with our regular instructor, Nancy Petruska.

"Pivoting" is a skill we use during these unprecedented times to provide some normalcy for our students. Big thanks to OE for being willing to provide transportation to a different location and thanks to Pines Village for making space for us. We value you so much!

Art Barn School of Art will still be accepting donations on 👉 Wednesday, August 19, from 2- 6 pm despite the power outage in the area. We are collecting new and gently used art supplies for our upcoming Art Supplies Garage Sale happening in October, with all proceeds directly supporting our community arts programming and educational workshops.

✅Supplies we will accept✅

Wooden frames of all sizes (no metal or photo frames)
Professional or student-grade paintbrushes in good to like-new condition
Acrylic, oil, watercolor, or gouache paints (at least 75% full, CLEAN and with caps that still open)
Pastels (oil or dry)
NEW drawing pencils, charcoal pencils, or conte crayons
Watercolor or printmaking paper or pads (full/intact sheets only)
Other drawing/craft paper (e.g. tracing paper, palette paper, sketchbooks)
Beads
Yarn
NEW glue sticks or tacky glue
Mod Podge
Printmaking supplies (water based inks, rollers, berens, plexi plates)
Tissue paper
Art/Craft Books

❌Items that will NOT be accepted❌

Broken/damaged items of any kind
Solvents, aerosols, spray paints
Items that are sticky or need cleaning
