Palouse Art Camp Palouse Art Camp is a place where children express themselves through the creations from their❤️ This deposit is applied to the total tuition.

First Camp: July 20-July 24, 2026

Second Camp: July 27-July 31, 2026

Christmas Gourd Ornament Creations:
Saturday, Dec. 20th, 2025
10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
All materials are provided. $25.00/student. This might be a good time for adults to get some Christmas errands done or stay and create a lovely Christmas ornament. I'll have some treats to share! If you're so inclined, you may add a gratefully received plate of finger food or bag of chips; artwork makes one very hungry! 😋 Please text or messenger me if you're wanting to attend or have questions. Below are a couple of examples. Unfortunately, when my kids grew up, they took theirs with them, or a dog used them as a teething toy, so I only have a few left!

Art Camp Itinerary

Monday thru Wednesday:
10 am to 4:00 pm
Monday is junk art day!! If you have any junk drawers you need to clean out we will gladly repurpose!! Let me clarify, junk is different than garbage!! 🤭
Let me know if you need to drop off a little early or pick up a little later. I do need to leave for Costco on Wednesday by 5 to pick up Friday’s art camp needs!!

Wednesday:
There is a sign up sheet on the inside door of the art barn for pizza toppings for Friday pizza night. I need the items by Thursday. If your child is doing the camp out, you won’t be back out till Friday evening!

Thursday:
Please bring pizza items up to the kitchen in the house or find a camp aid who will do for you. Pizza preparation is your child’s culinary art project!!
Your child needs to have a packed lunch for Thursday. Camp provides Thursday dinner! Art camp was renamed TACO CAMP by kids a good 10 years ago and has stuck! Ever since!

Bring overnight camping needs
(Sleeping bag, flashlight, pillow, toiletries, warm pj’s, beanie, and slippers and maybe a book they are reading). Camping gear needs to go on front porch. Your child should do this so they can later locate!!

REMINDER: I have one year old border collie pups and their favorite pastime after snuggles is chewing up, devouring everything they can get their sweet snouts on so make sure items are tucked securely into their packs!!

Friday:
Camp provides their famous popovers with a trillion toppings, sausages and fruit for breakfast. Camp also provides lunch for your children on Friday! They have great fun gobbling up their edible art creations! Don’t worry parents, something green is a must on every plate!!
I did have an art camp kid make a plate full of amoebas one year!! Oreo cookies with pretzels sticking out all the way around. (amoeba with it’s pseudopods) 🦠 🤪

Friday 7:00pm:
When you arrive, your child will pack all their gear back into the car. We will have someone monitor the parking area (south field) for safety. Look for the parking sign 🅿️
Once you locate your child/ children come and enjoy the live band entertaining while you wait for Pizza off the Webber and “wonder” about the barn viewing all the awesome art!! Some years we’ve had musical kids collaborate with the band and I think this will happen again this year!! Art camp (your tuition) pays the musicians but if you are moved to, you are welcome to drop something in an open case for the “starving” musicians!!

Camp concludes around about 9 pm or whatever works for you!! I apologize to any of you who are catching flights the next morning because I guarantee camp is sending home exhausted children!!
True to the fashion of an artist’s life, debuts are exhausting!!!! 😵‍💫

Ready for Art Camp??
Here is a list of suggested items to pack for camp:
🌻 Small blanket or pillow to sit on while plein air painting. Need to still find a nearby sunflower field or old red barn!!
🌀 Hat for plein air painting and Fibonacci scavenger hunt activity!
💦 Water bottle
🍱 Lunch for Monday thru Thursday. Friday is edible art lunch and camp provides the medium! 😉
🧥 Jacket just in case!!

Note to parents:
Please do not have children wear their new school clothes! Camp is not kind to brand new outfits!!
Also, a granola bar breakfast doesn’t last long when spending the day running around outdoors and in a barn!! Camp provides the snacks like granola bars and fruits!
Camp has two puppies this year! Finn and Maggie. They just turned a year this week. They eat everything!! Please no gum or grapes. I’ll provide grapes one day but knowingly will keep children and pups under a watchful eye!

I’m getting excited for another year of art camp as I scroll through random art camp related photos!! If you havent heard, 2 new border collie puppies this year to greet the children!! Thank you Ourada ranch!!
I promise we will attempt focus on art work but i must be honest, these puppies have major ball obsession and I know, they will bug the kids to high heaven for ball throws!!! 🙄

Many have asked me, is this the last year of art camp? The only answer I’ve been able to come up with is “Que sera sera…” ❤️❤️❤️

My daughter Genna will be working with me this year!! Yahoo!!!
She is so talented and so much fun to be around!! I must warn you though, she is quick to break into song and dance so get ready to sing a jingle and stomp and wiggle!! See you all soon!! Summer is just around the corner!!

Twenty six years of art camp and the excitement to share my love for art is just as strong as when I began the camp!! 🫶🏼

Art Camp is in need of some supplies. These are items that usually end up in your garbage!! 🙃
1). Clean, empty plastic bottle. Size guideline would be (about) no bigger than a 2 litter bottle and no smaller than an aspirin
bottle. The funkier the shape, the better!
2). Newspaper
3). Those things that you have no idea what they are that end up in a junk drawer or taking over your space ….
Art Camp will gladly help you uncluttered!!☺️

Just a reminder, bring water bottles AND don’t wear your new school clothes!! Art Camp is messy!!! 🥰

I am so excited to see all my young artist friends! In a few weeks I’ll add a list of recommended supplies you might want for camp! Most of you already know that materials are provided but there is something the camp is in dire need of, and it comes with a confession. Thinking last year might be the last camp after 25 years, I got rid of the bins of jUNk!!!🤫😳😬
Also, having eliminated the Junk Art Project one year and barely living to tell the story, I vowed to never do away with this project again!!
Sooooo, being that Spring Cleaning is upon us, please consider donating your junk to the camp!!! 😑
You know those things that accumulate in a kitchen drawer that you wonder why you saved them!! Some ideas would be broken flat irons or blow dryers, curlers, old keys, old flat wear, costume jewelry, dried ruined paint brushes, used canning lids, funky kitchen and garage gadgets, etc.
Please, no odd and end art stuff (stickers, ribbons, silk flowers) as I have a barn full and please, please, please NO GLITTER!! 🫣
