Skulls and flowers - seems odd, right? Not so much in the sphere of art. “Memento Mori” - a saying whispered into the ears of victorious Roman generals in their celebratory parades - has been a part of art still life’s for centuries. Post & Courier article (in the bio) from yesterday - for those interested in updates. Though we are saddened by things changing we are hopeful for a future that maintains the creativity that has always been present in Rock Hill since FriArts started 20 years ago. I know the entire arts community wishes for the Gettys to be maintained and the diamond of a building it is. We’ll keep you updated on developments.
