Some of you may not know that Randy Ball, our local and famous MiG-17 pilot underwent brain surgery last week. Here's a quote from the post on his page noting it:

"The airshow community’s own Randy W. Ball—widely recognized as North America’s premier jet demonstration pilot—has recently undergone successful surgery for the removal of a benign brain tumor, discovered after he returned from his 4th 2026 airshow this spring at Holloman AFB NM.
The procedure was completed without complication, and Randy is now focused on recovery. With a excellent prognosis, he will be working on the FIGHTERJETS INC team including new additions, including the Collins Foundation, Vietnam War Flight Museum, and the Lonestar jet team, and of course complaining about the time it takes him to heal."

We are VERY happy that it was benign and all of us at the museum and our visitors wish him a speedy and complete recovery!
