"I love to create – It is when I feel most alive. I am motivated to capture my own interpretation of joy, color, and textures. I love to draw and cannot remember a time when I didn’t. I see so much beauty in the world, in my family, nature, and friends. The world can feel heavy and hard sometimes but creating makes me feel at once calm, and I find myself wanting to return to it again and again." -Callie Luhrman

Presented in partnership with the Tyler Junior College Art Department, 'A World Away: Prints & Illustrations by Callie Luhrman' will be on view in the TJC Glass Case Gallery through Friday, December 10.

Luhrman's ceramics are on view in the TMA Lobby Display Case through Sunday, January 3, 2027.

Plus, a selection of her prints and miniature ceramics are currently available for purchase in the TMA Gift Shop.
