Here is some information about some art classes that I am teaching through Magic Valley Arts Council.

Magic Valley Arts Council’s
After School Art Studio
Explore age appropriate art!
Projects encourage individual outcomes.
Students will express creativity through a variety of materials.
All supplies included.
7 week session
Taught by Cheryl Bruce on Tuesdays, Sept. 17 to Oct. 29, 2013
Early Art: 2-3:30pm, Grades K-5
After School Art: 4-5:30pm, Grades 3-5
or
Taught by Karen Fothergill on Wednesdays, Sept. 18 to Oct. 30, 2013
After School Art: 4-5:30pm, Grades K-2
Cost: $90.00 for MVAC members
$110.00 for non-MVAC members
Class size limited - Deadline Sept. 12.
All Classes will be at Twin Falls Center for the Arts

Drawing class for 6th-12th grade students on Thursdays, starting Oct. 3 through Dec. 12 (excluding Oct 31 and Nov 28 - for total of 9 weeks) 2:30-4:00 p.m. and 4:30-6:00 p.m. at my home art studio in Jerome. Please choose one time that works for your family. Cost: $70 (can be paid in increments of $35) Students will provide their own sketch book, but other materials will be provided at no additional cost. Art and Soul of the Magic Valley is happening right now, through May 4. The office is in the Lynwood Shopping Center, which is where you can pick up a guide to find all of the artwork in Twin Falls and then come back and vote for your top 5 favorites! My artwork is located in Main Street Plaza with a lot of other wonderful pieces of art. Enjoy time with your family and go out and see some beauty... and don't forget to vote for your favorites!

I will be having shoulder surgery this Wednesday to hopefully take care of the extreme pain that I have been in since the accident. It will probably be an 8-week recovery time, so I am thinking that my optimistic prediction of starting art classes in June is not going to happen. I will keep you posted though. Please keep me in your prayers for quick recovery and healing. Thank you!

We will be at the kite days festival this weekend painting faces. It is a free event for everyone, so bring a kite. There will be prizes for different categories. It will run from 9 am. to 6 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday at Sunway Soccer Complex in Twin Falls. So let's go fly a kite and have some wonderful family fun. There will also be food vendors. This event is put on by the Twin Falls City Youth Council and hope to have it become an annual community event.

I am still in business, just don't have the center. I am taking a medical leave from doing business, but will be back to teaching art probably by June...so don't go away! I will keep you posted!
