Good Afternoon, it's been a very busy day today. For those of you who answered where was the Totem pole located? It was located in front of the Donovan photography and gift shop on Park St. Gillis Realty is in that same building currently.
William A Donovan spent most of his life in Tupper Lake, he managed the Tupper Lake Theater as well as his photography and gift shop. He passed away in Bonita Springs, FL on April 5, 2001.
Thanks for all the interesting answers to the question!

Good Morning from the Tupper Lake History Museum. Here is a photo of one of the many military uniforms we have in our collection. This is a WW I uniform, worn by a local Tupper Lake person.
We do not have much information about the soldier who wore this uniform, we don't know who donated the uniform.
Tupper Lakers can you help us identify the soldier who wore this uniform??

Good Day Tupper Lake History Museum Followers, the museum is closed for the winter months. We did have a display at the Tupper Lake Art Center in November 2025 of our collection of Military memorabilia, including several mannequins dressed in the uniforms of many of our local veterans.
The attendance was wonderful and many people who did not know about the History Museum are now aware and plan to stop by in 2026 to look at our other artifacts.
We look forward to seeing many of you during the 2026 season.
We will post our opening date later, in the meantime, we will be gearing up and resetting our displays for the upcoming season.

Thank you for your continued support.
