Through his distinctive photo-fresco process—a fusion of photography and traditional fresco techniques developed over decades—the artist presents a body of work that explores the quiet, visceral experiences that exist beyond language. Created over the past three years, these works reflect on our interconnectedness with the natural world and one another, where memory, sensation, and emotion become shared experiences. Rooted in the expansive landscapes of Oklahoma, the exhibition invites viewers to contemplate the unseen rhythms that bind us together as both creators and participants in the continual ebb and flow of existence.

Join us at TAC Gallery on Friday, September 25, for an evening with artist Laurel Payne, whose exhibition BODY is on view throughout September.

Payne will discuss her expressive approach to portraiture, including her creative process, artistic influences, and intuitive use of line, color, gesture, and composition to explore identity, connection, and the human experience.

Come hear more about the ideas and process behind the work—and see BODY before it closes September 26.

Explore watercolor in a relaxed, experimental workshop focused on letting go of expectations and the fear of making mistakes. Laurel will guide participants through loose color applications, layered washes, patterns, and both traditional and unconventional watercolor techniques.

Registration includes two hours of instruction and a take-home watercolor kit.

HOME FIRES
Tulsa Artists’ Coalition 37th Annual Members’ Show
With a wide array of styles and perspectives, “Home Fires” is a celebration of Tulsa’s art community and the shared bonds that make TAC a place to come home to.
The Annual Members’ Show is TAC’s opportunity to showcase the exceptional work of emerging and established artists working across all media. Entries are selected by a panel of independent jurors, with awards presented at the opening reception.
TAC members may submit up to two original works created within the last two years. One work per artist will be selected, and artwork must be no larger than 24 inches on the longest side.
Submissions are open now.
Deadline: November 7, 2026 at Midnight CST
Artist Notifications: December 5, 2026
Opening Reception: January 1, 2027
Exhibition: January 1–23, 2027
