Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Richard Ratkevich. He was a cherished husband, father, and friend who brought so much love and light into our lives. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Richard is the second-generation owner of Tucson Mineral and Gem World. He has impacted many generations through his wealth of information and generosity. Rich has encouraged five generations to explore their curiosity and knowledge with minerals, artifacts, and fossils. He was a kind-hearted soul that tried helping those in need whenever he could.
As we come to terms with Rich's passing, we are faced with the difficult task of arranging his final farewell. We want to give him the dignified and heartfelt send-off he deserves, but unfortunately, the financial burden of funeral expenses is overwhelming for our family during this already challenging time.
We are reaching out to our community for support in honoring Rich’s memory. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help alleviate the financial strain and allow us to focus on grieving and remembering him fondly.
Funds raised will go towards funeral service, cremation costs, memorial arrangements, and support for Rich's family. Your generosity will make a meaningful difference in ensuring that Rich is laid to rest with the dignity and respect he deserves.
We also appreciate your thoughts, prayers, and messages of support during this difficult time. Your kindness means the world to us as we navigate through our grief.

Tucson Mineral and Gem World will remain open for the foreseeable future.
There will be a celebration of life for Richard in the near future. We invite all who would like to come celebrate his amazing life. Once details are finalized, we will send out an update with the date/time and address.
