Ignite Fire Rebuild Update No. 30.
This morning, work commenced with five vehicles on site and masons and plumbers starting to work. Framers are awaiting materials and are expected to begin putting it back together this week. It has been over eight months since the fire. Lots of moving parts.

We got the exceedingly dusty clock and air freshener display at the Grand Market on South 6th in Tucson. They are closing shortly and selling everything.
They are cleaning up to be presentable.

Ignite Fire Rebuild update No 29.
Its been 8 months since the fire.
We are making headway
Today the footings and the underground plumbing was cemented in
Vasquez Construction started dumping concrete at 5:30 am.
Pretty much had it done before noon.
Framing starts this week.
In the mean time we continue to clean and repair the collection.
The Memory game cleaned up and went through its color changing sequence and the Space Shuttle ride also got cleaned up and it work as it should.

Cook and Co Signmakers was asked to repaint and repair The Monterey Court sign in Tucson.
They restored it in 2010. The Arizona Sun had taken a toll on it.
Kurt with Signs by Kurt handled relettering. Mark and Bret handled the prep and neon work.
Richard did the neon repairs.

Ignite Fire Restoration No. 28.
Our Neon Experience display is getting cleaned up and everything is working.
Its been almost 8 months since the fire.
The framing for the office and new bathrooms is starting.
Argon Alley and the Gift kiosk is open Saturday
10-4. Free Admission.

The Casa Grande Neon Sign Park had a couple signs needing attention. The main project was getting the this guy's arm working. The motor failed and the linkage between the motor and the arm was starting to wear out. This is a great collection in downtown Casa Grande, Az

We went to the Medilla Ranch Vintage Market on Tucson's far east side and found some odds and ends this morning.
One of the new exhibits will be a shoe store.
Hence the shoe stretchers and the Shoe sizer.

A Hot Plate has been on our radar ever since we saw the one that Graham's Neon in Mesa AZ reworked and replaced the heat element in clear red neon. We'll post ours all lit up.
It'll go with the neon blender and toasters we do.

Multi colored free form sculptures.
The sign yard is open 10 - 4 today with Free Admission.

We found this at Adobe House Antiques last weekend.
We aren't sure if it's from The Arizona Daily Star. If anyone has a memory of seeing one of these let us know.
Argon Alley is open Fri and Sat 10 - 4.
Free to come visit.
