'Vines' by Cary Horton

'The photograph “Vines” from the series “Cabin in the Woods” is a field guide to seeing mundane and discarded places as ephemeral spaces in which to dream and reflect. My intent is to present the familiar and ordinary as fantastical and worthy of a second look.

As a cultural heritage photographer, I see the importance of objects and places to connect the past and the present, fostering a sense of continuity. Objects and places evoke emotions and spark curiosity and wonder, enabling individuals to form personal connections with history.'

'Borrowed Room' by Natcha Wongchanglaw

'Borrowed Room traces a period of temporary living in New York City, where a borrowed space became both refuge and confinement. Through black-and-white images that shift between stillness and motion, the work reflects on displacement, uncertainty, and the fragile sense of belonging within a space not meant to be home.'

'Clock and Toothbrush (2026)' by Jeffrey MacDonald

'This photograph is part of a series called The Interview. There is an alarm clock offering a beat to the image as a marker of the passage of time and the activities taking place out of sync with convention. The clock also serves as a disorienting influence on the viewer, calling into question the subject's behavior.'

'Whitman on the Shelf' by Brenda Stumpf

'Home, for me, gathers in small arrangements like this—books I return to, images I’ve held onto, objects that quietly keep their place. The shelf becomes a kind of anchor, where memory and influence settle into something tangible. Softened by time, the image holds that feeling of home as something made slowly. Layered, intimate, and shaped by what we choose to keep near.'

'903' by Bai Song

'This is a photograph that I took from last summer in my grandparents' house. It was summer, so my grandma was welcoming us with a fresh watermelon.'

'She's Not A Short-Order Cook' by Kathy McGreal

'I had to do something to find relief for PTSD and depression symptoms that treatments alone did not provide. Cooking may be cathartic for some but for others it can be frustrating. Photography, on the other hand, has become a wonderful mindfulness practice.'

'Time Out' by Cara Brewer

'I photograph mainly wildlife these days. That seems to carry over into my home life as well. My domesticated wildlife keep me feeling loved and entertained. Can't wait for the day when I get close enough to a mountain lion to make my photographic dreams come true. Maybe I'll take a clothes basket with me on my next hike?'
