Dear Friends, Collectors, and Colleagues,

We wanted to share a brief note in light of the recent tragic avalanche near our mountain community here in Truckee. Our hearts are with those who were lost, their loved ones, and everyone affected. We’re also deeply grateful for the first responders and search teams who rushed in to help.

The philosopher Blaise Pascal wrote, “In difficult times, carry something beautiful in your heart.” We’ve been thinking about that line a lot this week. While there are no words that make loss easier, we do believe nature's beauty can offer a small moment of solace — a breath — when life feels heavy.
