Bring your chair and set up on the museum lawn to watch the parade pass by!
While waiting, explore the air conditioned museum -admission is free.
There is even a special display on the Turkey Festival.

WHAT DID YOU DO TODAY?
In 1890, the Tremont village ordinances outlined strict guidelines for Sundays:

It shall not be lawful for any person or persons in Tremont on the first day of the week, commonly called Sunday, to engage in the amusement or exercise of dancing or fiddling, singing songs, jumping, drilling, skating, running foot races, running horses, playing at ball, 10 pins, billiards, cards, marbles, or any other games, wrestling, boxing, pitching quoits, fishing, hunting, or in any amusement of the like nature. And every person convicted of any of the offenses last enumerated, shall forfeit and pay the same penalty as in section one hereof provided. (Pay not less than one dollar or more than $100.)

Recently, our super researcher, Laurel, came across a couple of postcards online from Tremont. One shows the bandstand that was in the park, one shows the 1904 Methodist church.
She sent the original black and white and the colorized version.
