Ticonderoga Fire Hall of Flame Museum This page is all about the history of the Ticonderoga Fire Company. Our Museum is "Ticonderoga Fire Hall of Flame" Clark Hose Co. #1 after Stephen W. W.W.D.

In 1873 the first fire dept was formed, and in 1874 it was named S.W. Clark who brought this need before the people of Ticonderoga. The next year in 1875 H.G. Burleigh Hose Co. #1 formed, and it was named after Henry Gordon Burleigh. The two pioneer company's disbanded, and their members joined to form Defiance Hose Co #1. which was organized on June 25th 1880. Defiance Hose Company was incorporat

ed on January 18th 1882. In 1887 Defiance Hook, and Ladder was organized, and they were incorporated on May 19th 1890. Jeffers Hose Company was formed in 1897, and they incorporated in 1899. These three companies consolidated, and merged to become what is now known as
Ticonderoga Fire Company # 1 on January 1st 1991
