Park at the Manor Parking Lot located at 6709 Cunningham Falls Park Rd Thurmont, MD 21788 and take the free shuttle to the performance which is running on a loop before the performance, and will take you back after.

Day 2 of the Maryland Iron Festival begins at 10am and runs to 4pm!

We have lots of activities today including black powder demonstrations with reenactments around a camp fire, live music, our Artists and Maker's Market, food, drink and much more!

Call for CFHS Bake Sale Items
2026 Maryland Iron Festival | Saturday & Sunday, May 16th & 17th

Please bring your homemade speciality for the Maryland Iron Festival bake sale. Our bake sale table is a highlight of every festival in Catoctin Furnace with delicious cookies, bars, brownies, small breads and other delicious treats.

Please drop off your bake sale items anytime on Thursday or Friday, May 14th or 15th. We will be onside setting so please give us a call if you intend to drop off items anytime before the start of the festival. We have a commercial refrigerator for storage.

Thank you in advance for contributing your baked treat specialties! Feel free to drop off items day of at the Collier’s Log House during the festival.

It’s 1781, and the battle for American independence is in full swing. Catoctin Furnace has a pivotal role to play, but will intrigue and treachery give the British the win?

The play Iron Will is a work of fiction, but it is based on archival records and historical events that took place in the Catoctin Furnace village and the surrounding furnace lands during the Revolutionary War. The characters are based on real persons and composite figures.
