Did you know that across the United States there are numerous towns, cities, forts, counties, and landmarks named after General Henry Knox? 📍

Our friends in “Knox”ville, Tennessee recently held a Stamp Expo with the theme “Revolutionary War Hero General Henry Knox.” It’s always great to see the legacy of such an important historical figure being celebrated in communities across the country.

Closer to home, on July 25, 1985, an 8¢ commemorative stamp was issued in Thomaston, Maine marking the 200th anniversary of Henry Knox’s appointment as the first Secretary of War.
Moments like these are wonderful reminders of the lasting impact General Knox had on our nation’s history—and how his story continues to be shared and celebrated today! 🇺🇸'
