Bring the whole family for a FREE America 250 Discovery Day and explore the story of our nation's founding through hands-on history!

📚 Enjoy a special America 250-themed story time led by a former librarian, then get up close with replicas of Revolutionary War artifacts from the Louisiana State Museum traveling trunk, sponsored by the Louisiana America 250 Commission.

Join us for a fun filled morning full of fun activities rain or shine!

We will have the Bayou Country Children's Museum here doing an art/craft activity inside the historic house. We also will have a mini French lesson and a hands on history demonstration with an America 250 theme that will show off the diverse and interesting cultures of south Louisiana!

Weather permitting we will have fishing and historic kids' games!
