Wear your costumes and join the museum for our annual non-spooky Halloween Party featuring child-friendly games and activities, entertainment, and art projects. On Friday enjoy Spooktacular story time at 11am, 12pm and 1pm. Monty the Magician performances Fri. and Sat. at 10:30am, 11:30am, 12:30pm, 1:30pm 2:30pm. Fall into STEAM with our October POP-UP SCIENCE activities! October 15th, 10am โ€“ 12pm โ€“ Pumpkins, do they float? Explore buoyancy with this easy, hands-on experiment using pumpkins of different sizes. Students will practice their prediction and scientific observation skills while learning about density. This Floor Program is included in the price of admission, which is $10 for adults and children 1 year and older.

The bat cave is underway thanks to our theatrical set designers Jamie and Michael. FANG-tastic Fun NIGHT - Fri. Oct.16, 5-8pm! Explore a flashlight bat cave maze, learn how bats use echolocation, search for nighttime creatures and even dissect owl pellets to uncover clues about what owls eat! Little scientists and artists can also enjoy multiple nocturnal animal-themed art projects and hear special campfire story times. Meet some very special animal ambassadors from Friends of Texas Wildlife, including two Eastern Screech Owls and Walter the Opossum! Children will have the opportunity to learn about these amazing animals and discover how they survive and thrive at night.
Event tickets are $12 per person over age 1.
