The Dalles School District Museum NOW OPEN SATURDAYS, 10:00 - 3:00, June through Sept. Public, class & family reunions welcome. high.

A celebration of 150 years of education in The Dalles, 1854–2004 was celebrated at the close of the district. Now a historical museum is established for the school district archives, both District 12 and 9. We already have and can always add more memorabilia: programs, annuals, photos, trophies, ribbons, uniforms, and yearbooks. Booster Girls, FFA, Thespians, and Usher’s Club and Girls League is

represented by photos as is every elementary school and Jr. If you have things you would like to share rather than discard, we will catalogue your donation and add it to the display for future family and class reunions.

The Dalles School District Archive museum is open free to the public every Saturday, June 14th-Sept 6th, located at the Wahtonka Building in The Dalles. Enter through gate near the Athletic field. Old sports uniforms and yearbooks for sale (Indians, Eagles and no logo). Displaying 160 years of school memorabilia (high school, junior high/middle school and elementary).

Most every Monday from 10 - noon volunteers are working at the museum to archive items donated to the museum and build the inventory. If you wish to come into the museum call Rymmel Lovell at 541-296-6546 or her cell at 707-934-7022 to arrange a time. The museum cannot be open to the public due to Covid-19 restrictions. Research is still being done and donations are accepted. Thank you.

Sorry to say our school museum is closed to class and family reunion visitors due to Covid-19, but can be contacted for sport uniform sales, donations and research information. September is the last month the school museum is open at a regular time, every Saturday, 10:00 - 3:00. We will have sport uniforms available for sale throughout the year. If you need jerseys or shorts for a community team, we have football and basketball plus jackets and pants (warm-ups and pull offs with snap sides) with no logos, only numbers or a team color. Please call Rymmel Lovell, curator, at 541-296-6546. There is also a variety of pieces: TDHS with logos, TDWHS with logos, and WHS with logos. All money goes to athletics via the Booster Club.

TDHS, WHS, and TDWHS sport uniforms are displayed and for sale at Wahtonka every Saturday, 10:00 - 3:00 now thru end of August by suggested donations. Come visit the archive museum and check out the sport jerseys, shorts, shirts, pants, and jackets. Some items could outfit a 10-15 member team.
