The Tatamy Historical Society will be part of the festival! Come celebrate 250 with us!

Nazareth will celebrate the 250th anniversary of our nation’s founding with a free community festival on Saturday, July 4, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Moravian Historical Society, the Nazareth Economic Development Commission, and the County of Northampton Department of Community and Economic Development are hosting the event after the town's annual Kazoo Parade.

The day kicks off at 9:00 a.m. with Nazareth’s Annual Kazoo Parade. Parade participants will gather at the Nazareth Area High School. This year, in honor of America’s 250th birthday, the Brandywine Colonials Fife and Drum Corps will lead the parade.

The Parade will end at the Moravian Historical Society, the historic site where Nazareth got its start in 1740. Expect old fashioned fun with a patriotic program, colonial demonstrations, local celebrities, and a variety of food and beverages.

Visitors can take a tethered hot air balloon ride (weather permitting) with thanks to Unity Bank.

We are thrilled to have two of the Lehigh Valley's favorite bands performing: TimeWhys and the Craig Thatcher Quartet.

The Nazareth Farmers Market will relocate to the Moravian Historical Society, where it will be joined by additional vendors.

There will be lots of free patriotic activities for the kids, including games, crafts, and presentations of Nazareth Area School District's Fifth Grade Colonial Days Projects.

Free parking is available at the Nazareth Area High School and a shuttle bus will take you to the Moravian Historical Society.

Join us for Nazareth Celebrates America's 250!

Thank you to the presenting sponsor C.F. Martin & Co. and to Mario Andretti for sponsoring our wonderful musicians 🎶. Thank you to the children's activities sponsors: Fidelity Bank; Morningstar Living; Peters Mortiz Peischl Landes Brienza; and Embassy Bank for the Lehigh Valley. Additional support is provided by the Hotel Tax Grant Program through the County of Northampton Department of Community & Economic Development.
