Taos Historic Museums We are the Martinez Hacienda and the Blumenschein Home & Museum. We display many of our wonderful historical artifacts.

The Taos Historic Museums aim to promote the history, heritage, and cultural arts of Northern New Mexico through education and preservation of our unique historic structures and collections. We aim to educate the public on their importance, and the importance of Taos history. We offer many events, such as: the annual Fandango amd Old Taos Trade Fair, as well as gallery openings.

Admission is free for Taos County locals on Sundays.

What a beautiful day at Martinez Hacienda with our Escuelita de Adobe students & teachers. 🧱

Want to see the work in action? Come visit our museum Sunday 5/17 between 10am–5pm for a self-guided tour as the team makes adobes, builds an horno, plasters earthen walls, and completes adobe repair projects.

Museum admission:
$12 adults / $8 seniors / $5 children

Of course, Sundays are always free for Taos County residents. 💚

Students will be gathering for hands-on adobe skills workshops — adobe making, mud washing & plastering, adobe maintenance and repair, adobe oven building, and baking traditional foods.
