Grateful for this award! The gift of these inkle looms and card weaving cards will support our traditional belt weaving program, led by the artists-in-residence of Futuros Ancestral.
Starting this June, Marlee Espinosa of Taos Pueblo will teach belt weaving techniques with youth at the Day School's summer program — keeping traditions alive.
Big thanks to the SchachtSpindleCompany out of Boulder, Colorado for the 2026 Tools for Schools grant. ✨

Through this grant program, schools and nonprofit organizations receive Schacht equipment to help start or expand their spinning and weaving programs. This year, we received more applications than ever before—a wonderful sign of the growing interest in spinning and weaving education.
