Boatworks Files for Bankruptcy

Boatworks at Tahoe LLC, which is owned by MJD Capital Partners, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Aug. 11 in the Eastern District of California. The filing was initiated to stay the foreclosure scheduled for today, Aug. 12, after the company defaulted on its $14 million loan in January. MJD, which purchased the mall in 2019, is also delinquent in paying its $247,049 property tax bill to Placer County. ⁠
