YOUR design could inspire our next admission sticker!⁠ The winning designer will receive a FREE one-year Family membership🏆

The Rules: Anyone, of any age and skill level, can submit an original design! Stickers can be square or circular, but no larger than 2" x 2". You may include our logo (in black or white), but it's not required. Please design with our featured colors: yellow, blue, green, pink, and red!

The Daily Post recently published an article about Z Behl and Kim Moloney, the artists behind "The Mule's Passage," a five-week-long performance and artist residency sponsored by the New York State Canal Corporation and the Erie Canal Museum 🛶✨

Their year-long residency will culminate with an exhibition at the Everson, opening in May 2027. Stay tuned for more details!

On this Day: October 9, 1971 ✨ Syracuse became the center of the art and music world when John Lennon and Yoko Ono visited for the opening of Ono’s exhibition “This is Not Here” at the Everson.

That same day, Lennon was also celebrating his 31st birthday in Syracuse. Rumors spread amongst local fans that The Beatles might reunite for a surprise performance at the Everson. Crowds swarmed the Museum in hopes of witnessing history. No concert happened at the Everson, but something just as legendary happened down the street. ⁠
⁠
To avoid the noisy crowd, Lennon, Ono, and their guests retreated to Hotel Syracuse for a birthday celebration. In a hotel room, Lennon and other musicians played over 20 songs, including “Peggy Sue,” “Yellow Submarine,” and “Give Peace a Chance.” Beatles drummer Ringo Starr used a hotel room wastebasket to jam along. ⁠

It was the closest Syracuse ever came to a Beatles Reunion.
