This little rosebud was the one the deer didn’t get to — a small survivor from this past week’s blooms. I photographed it using the same layered approach as Quiet Anatomy and Held in the Shadows, letting the softness, texture, and shadow do most of the speaking. It feels like a quiet companion piece for Flowers in the Attic — tender, resilient, and just a little bit mysterious.

Despite being sick for days now, I have completed putting a calendar together, and I am still re-thinking the final images. I have not gotten much feedback on that reel I posted so I will just carry on and purchase a proof. I am trying to make it affordable-under 21.00 and I will have to figure shipping costs. Trust me it won't be a $40 calendar, especially since this will be my first.

Quiet Anatomy, Held in Shadow-

A monochrome floral piece that holds softness and structure in the same breath. 

As part of my "Flowers in the Attic Collection", this piece reflects my interest in floral imagery that feels intimate rather than decorative — something reflective, a little mysterious, and full of subtle emotion. It is not meant to feel academic or like a study, but instead like a finished, intentional work that invites slower looking and a quieter kind of beauty.
