The Suwanee Arts Center is bringing bold color, iconic styles, and creative energy together for our very first Pop Art x Anime Exhibition 💥 From anime and comics to cartoons and pop art, this show celebrates storytelling, originality, and artistic expression in every form.

🎉 Meet Our Summer Intern, Lena! 🎉

We're excited to welcome Lena Towne to the Suwanee Arts Center team this summer! ☀️🎨

Lena is a student at the College of Charleston, where she is double majoring in Arts Management and Theatre Performance. She brings experience in arts administration, marketing, event planning, and theatrical production, along with a passion for creativity and community.

Fun fact: Lena is part of the inaugural class of Female Eagle Scouts and has earned both the Eagle Scout and Girl Scout Gold Award! 🌟

This summer, she'll be helping with events, programs, marketing, and more. If you see her around the gallery, be sure to say hello! 👋

In observance of Juneteenth, Suwanee Arts Center will be closed on Friday, June 19, 2026.

Our Summer Camps will continue as scheduled, and all registered campers can attend their programs as usual.

We will reopen on Saturday, June 20, with our regular gallery hours.

Join us for Art for Therapy: NeuroArt with Sandra Ackovic on Saturday, June 20 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

This relaxing mixed media workshop is designed to help you unwind, reduce stress, and explore self expression through the calming practice of neurographic art. No drawing or painting experience is needed. Sandra will guide you step by step as you create flowing lines, shapes, and colorful compositions.

Artist Spotlight: “Luck Be A Lady” by Viviana Corso

🎨 Viviana Corso has been creating art for as long as she can remember. Much of her technique is self taught, shaped by exploration, observation, and years of experimenting with different mediums. Influenced early by her father, she has developed a style that shifts between representational, impressionistic, and sometimes surreal, depending on the subject and the emotion she wants to express.

🌟 Viviana has exhibited her work in Roswell, Alpharetta, Suwanee, Norcross, and Athens, and she held a solo show of thirteen pieces at the Coca Cola building in Atlanta. She was recently selected as the featured artist for a charitable fundraising campaign in Athens. She is also a published illustrator and continues to create original works on commission. After thirty seven years in the Atlanta area, she enjoys being surrounded by supportive family, friends, and a vibrant arts community.

🐞 “Luck Be A Lady” was inspired by the universal joy people feel when they see ladybugs. While researching them, Viviana discovered that ladybugs are actually beetles and were once believed to be sent by the Virgin Mary to protect crops from pests. They became symbols of luck and prosperity, inspiring the title, a nod to the classic song. To her, ladybugs are elegant, cheerful, and full of charm.

Artist Spotlight: “Blue Bell Flower #1” by Heather Lee

🎨 Heather Lee is a passionate artist at Butterfly Paint Studio and a seasoned art instructor with more than fifteen years of experience teaching children’s art. She is also a dedicated board member and volunteer at the Cu***ng Arts Center, where creativity and community come together. Her work and teaching philosophy center on one message: Inspire Through Art.

🌸 “Blue Bell Flower #1” reflects Heather’s love for flowers, nature, and the calming beauty of the color blue. She’s always drawn to blue for its peaceful, soothing qualities, and this piece captures that serenity through soft shapes and gentle movement. The bell flowers feel delicate and uplifting, offering a quiet moment of stillness and appreciation for simple natural beauty.

🎨 Created with acrylic paint on canvas, the piece highlights Heather’s ability to blend color and form in a way that feels both fresh and comforting. It’s a celebration of nature, color, and the joy of painting what you love.
