Sixty Five Initiated into Realms of Black Cat August 28, 1926 Sixty-five candidates were initiated into the Hoo-Hoos, national organization of lumbermen, at the concatenation held in Westwood Saturday evening. Thousands Watch Parade on Saturday Morning
August 20, 1971
Thousands lined Main Street for Saturday's colorful Lassen County Fair parade led out by Grand Marshall Jim Bronson of Susanville. Behind him came 150 entries that included the music of long-time favorites, the Reno Municipal Band and an excellent Lassen High School band put together by director, Ray Craig.
The whine of bagpipes of the first place Sierra Highlanders Bagpipe Band of Sparks joined the shine of palomino horses and silver mounted saddles of the outstanding Alameda County Mounted Sheriff's Posse and the Nevada State Governor's Mounted Honor Guard captained by Don LeVerse of Carson City....
