We’ll be saying goodbye to this temporary exhibit on September 8th as we make room for our next exciting new exhibit, opening at the end of November! 👀✨

If you haven’t had a chance to check it out yet, now’s the time! Come explore some of the stories, traditions, and artifacts that celebrate the history of Independence Day before the exhibit is gone. 🇺🇸

🏍️ Motorcycles at the Meteor is BACK for its second year! 🏍️

Join us this Saturday from 10 AM–4 PM for a FREE ride-in and show featuring some seriously cool bikes! Whether you’re a motorcycle enthusiast or just looking for a fun way to spend your Saturday, there’s something for everyone at the SS Meteor. ⚓️

Enjoy a delicious food truck, enter to win some awesome prizes, and even grab a drink at the Meteor’s bar while you check out the bikes!

This dry weather up in Superior has been tough. But an unexpected surprise has come out of the drought!

Shadows of former structures and parts of Fairlawn are being revealed in the dry grass, like the original driveway to the front of the mansion!

Our tour guides took these great photos from the front steps of the mansion and from the third floor tower.

🚢 This week, it’s all about the SS Meteor! 🚢

After all the festivities at Fairlawn last week, we’re showing our favorite whaleback some love with TWO special events you won’t want to miss!

⚙️ Thursday, August 27 — Go behind the scenes with special Engine Room Tours, featuring a live demonstration of the Meteor’s engine turning! It’s a rare opportunity to see this incredible piece of maritime history in action.

🏍️ Saturday, August 30 — Join us for the second annual Motorcycles at the Meteor Ride-In & Show! This FREE event will feature a collection of modern and historic motorcycles aboard the ship, plus prize drawings, a food truck, and a chance to use the Meteor bar!

There’s plenty happening aboard the Meteor this week, so come show our favorite whaleback some love! ⚓️❤️

A big thank you to everyone who came to our Ice Cream Social yesterday! It was a beautiful day filled with games, tours, farm animals, baseball, and ice cream!

We officially unveiled our new plaque on the front steps of the mansion commemorating the 100 year anniversary of Babe Ruth’s historic visit to Fairlawn. Thanks to those who volunteered to be in the photo! We will be adding these great pictures to our Babe Ruth exhibit!
