If you can't wait to see it at the Duluth Airshow, 23 Skidoo will be flying over the B**g Center at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 9th. Afterwards, you can meet the pilot and the plane at the B**g Memorial Airport, at the Commemorative Air Force Lake Superior Squadron hangar, before our Mission Marge Press Conference! Details are on our events page!

Airshow organizers have been trying for years to bring this aircraft to Duluth.

Now it's finally happening.

And if you're a WWII history buff, this may be the coolest lineup of planes ever to visit the Northland.

Plus, you'll even have a chance to fly aboard a real WWII bomber.

This week, the rest of the Mission Marge Team made it to P.N.G. This team consists of our curator Briana Fiandt, James B**g, and Mitchel Erickson (nephews of Richard I. B**g), Mike Scholtz (film/ photo specialist), and board member Joe Fischer.

If you want to help our humanitarian effort, please donate new or gently used books for P.N.G. students, Grand K-12. We're collecting them at the B**g Center until July 17th, where they will then be turned over to the Wisconsin Air National Guard to be transported across the Pacific! Please reach out with any questions.

Big News! Recently we got confirmation from the Wisconsin National Guard that they agreed to assist Mission Marge. They’re assisting by bringing up to 2,000lbs of books to Papua New Guinea towards the end of July/ early August.

The WI Air National Guard and PNG Defense Force have been partners since 2020.

Now it’s up to us to collect new or gently used school books by July 17, 2026 for grades k-12. Don’t worry that a book you donate won’t be adequate, we will be sorting through them and donating the books locally that are outside of our donation parameters.

All donations will be collected at the B**g Center in front of our Mission Marge exhibit. Please contact us with any questions!
