Calling all 3 & 4 year olds - come learn, move, explore, and PLAY!

Registration is open for Museum Movers: Preschool Edition at Explore Children’s Museum!

Museum Movers gives children ages 3 and 4 a playful introduction to the preschool experience in a setting they already love. Through music, movement, hands-on exploration, and play, children will build important early learning skills while having FUN!

Play activities support:
🎨 Fine & gross motor development
💬 Expressive language & communication
🤝 Social skills
🔤 Early literacy & math concepts
🧩 Following directions & classroom routines

Museum Movers is taught in partnership with Sun Prairie Area School District Early Learning educators and Explore Children’s Museum staff.

Teachers & Educators - Cleaning Out Your Classrooms? We’d Love Your Extras!

As you organize, refresh, and clean out your classrooms, keep Explore Children’s Museum in mind! Many of the items you’re ready to part with can find a new life through play at the museum.

We’d love donations of:
🧩 Manipulatives & hands-on learning materials
🎨 Craft and art supplies
🎲 Games, puzzles & game pieces
🔤 Early learning materials
✂️ Classroom supplies
✨ And other fun items that could inspire creativity, exploration, and PLAY!

Have something you’re not sure we can use? Feel free to bring it by - we love finding creative ways to repurpose materials throughout the museum!

Donations can be dropped off at Explore Children’s Museum during Hours of Play:
Wednesday–Saturday | 9am–4pm Sunday | 10am–4pm

Museum Movers: Preschool Edition is back this fall!

Looking for a unique preschool experience where your child can learn through play? Museum Movers combines music, movement, hands-on exploration, and play in a fun and engaging setting at Explore Children’s Museum!

Designed for children ages 3–4, this special program is led by Sun Prairie Area School District Early Learning educators and Explore Children’s Museum staff. Children will build early literacy and math skills, practice classroom routines, develop social and motor skills, and - most importantly - have lots of fun learning through play!

📆 Tuesdays | 10:30–11:30am
🗓️ September 15, 2026–January 19, 2027
📍 Explore Children’s Museum
💲 $130 per child

Museum Movers takes place while the museum is closed to the public, creating a special environment just for participating children. Parents and caregivers stay on site while children are supervised by program staff.

The countdown is on! This Friday, Henry Vilas Zoo is bringing Zoo to You to Explore for a special morning of live animals, learning, and discovery!
