Sculpture in the South Sculpture in the South has placed over 20 pieces of permanent sculpture on public land in Summerville, SC, and promotes its appreciation through education.

The citizens of Summerville expressed their desire for public art at community meetings in 1993, and Sculpture in the South is meeting that need. With works by sculptors who have their art in the permanent collection in Buckingham Palace, the Smithsonian National Zoo, the Leigh Yawkey Art Museum and art tours to China, Summerville can boast about the remarkable quality of sculpture placed in the p

ublic realm for the enjoyment of residents and visitors. (Especially those who might never step into a museum or art gallery.)

✨️🐺WE NEED YOUR HELP

August is a very hot month, so we're postponing the next cleaning until Sept 9 at 3pm. We will meet at "Anticipation" and "Whisper on the Wind" both sculpted by Diane Mason. They’re in Azalea Park on the S. Magnolia St side.(conveniently located near the Magnolia St. parking lot)

Sculpture in the South appreciates assistance with the ongoing Maintenance and Cleaning projects. Please join your fellow citizens in making each sculpture in our Outdoor Sculpture Museum shine!

We will meet at Jack Hill's "Just Chillin' 🍌" at the Saul Alexander Playground on S Laurel St.
