There’s a new artist in town, and we’d love for you to meet her! 🎨🍂
We here at Charcoal and Linen are so excited to welcome Jodi, owner of Joyful Art Sessions to Summerville.
Jodi is new to the Summerville area, and we’re thrilled that she’s bringing her Paint classes to our creative little corner of town.

Whether you’re an experienced painter or someone who hasn’t picked up a paintbrush in years, this is a wonderful opportunity to try something new, meet some new friends, and spend an afternoon creating something beautiful. So grab a friend (or come make a new one!) and join us as we give Jodi a warm Summerville welcome.

Saturday, October 17 | 1:00–3:00 PM
We’ll be painting beautiful fall flowers, and all supplies are provided.
$30 per person

What happens when you pick up a paintbrush and let go of the rules?

That’s exactly what Melanie Campbell invites you to discover in her Abstract Acrylic Painting class. Melanie teaches the principles of art without prescribing the outcome.

This isn’t a class where everyone follows the same steps to create the same painting. There is no formula, no “first do this, then do that.” Instead, Melanie introduces you to acrylic painting, color theory, and the wonderful possibilities that happen when you begin to experiment.

She’ll guide you through the creative process, encourage you to explore, and give you the freedom to see where your imagination takes you.
What you create will be entirely your own.

Come play with color, get a little messy, and discover what happens when you trust the process.

Fall is finally here! 🍂 It is time to Gather & Create.

October at Charcoal & Linen is full of reasons to slow down, sit around a table together, and make something.

We have painting, figure drawing, poetry, and lots of opportunities to try something new. You don’t have to be an artist. You don’t have to know what you’re doing. You just have to be willing to come in and give it a try.

Bring a friend. Come by yourself. Learn something new. Meet some interesting people. Make something you’re proud of.

That’s what Charcoal & Linen is all about. ❤️

Take a look at our October calendar and come Gather & Create with us.

Last month’s Poetry Class was so full of inspiration, laughter, and wonderful writing that we decided we had to do it again.

Charcoal & Linen invites you to come in, sit down, and get those thoughts out of your head and onto paper. Poet Laureate Tina Baumis will guide you through the writing process with encouragement, love, and plenty of laughter.

We’ll prepare an afternoon full of inspiration, unexpected prompts, and a few things to taste along the way—so your thoughts can flow like milk and honey.

This month, we’re playing in the Poetry Kitchen and the theme is:

EAT YOUR WORDS. 🍋🥄✍️

Come hungry for inspiration.

Sunday, October 11 | 1:00–3:00 PM | $10
All levels welcome. All supplies provided.
