Join us at the Travertine Nature Center on June 11 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM for a Twining Demonstration hosted by the Chickasaw Nation.

Discover one of the world's oldest weaving techniques, used for more than 9,000 years to create baskets, bags, clothing, and more. Learn how Chickasaw people used natural plant and animal fibers to create beautiful and functional items, and see how this ancient art continues today.

This free program is part of a special series of cultural demonstrations hosted by the Chickasaw Nation, celebrating traditional arts, cultural knowledge, and native plants.
