The Door County Maritime Museum preserves Great Lakes maritime history, primarily focusing on Door County, Wisconsin, and provides interpretative and educational opportunities for current and future generations. We do not allow pets, or emotional support animals in the museum, only properly trained service animals are allowed. *Rest rooms are for museum guests only and located off the first, and

second floor lobbies in the legacy museum (not the tower). If you wish to donate an item that may be of historic significance, please see the "donation" page on our website for instructions on how to begin that process (www.dcmm.org)

A huge “Welcome Aboard” to Captain Jack Gage! Jack is the museum’s new Harbor Master! He will be focused on waterfront safety and a few other things that will be announced soon! Jack is a former (or rather, “is”) a United States Marine, and he is also the Director of the non-profit veterans organization Patriot Racing Project. The museum has been working with Jack and his organization on several other projects, with more to come. Stay tuned!

The colors of the Jim Kress Maritime Lighthouse Tower tonight are to celebrate Earth Day! The holiday was created in 1970 by Ga***rd Nelson, a junior senator from Wisconsin. Blue for the water that covers more than 70% of our planet (and we are a maritime museum). Green for the land, and all that grows on it.
