See website for museum tour hours & events - quietvalley.org 570-992-6161 Stroudsburg, PA 18360 Quiet Valley Living Historical Farm preserves the knowledge and skills that were used by early settlers, specifically the Depper family, as they started homesteads in the wilderness. Period costumed โ€œfamily membersโ€ reenact rural life of the 1800s time period using presentations and tours that share th

e daily activities of the farm. Tasks such as raising animals, growing crops, gardening, spinning, weaving, hearth cooking, and how technological advances impacted the people who worked the land are demonstrated. A tour of the farm is much more than a chance to see a museum. It is an opportunity to step back in time and experience a look into the life of the original Pennsylvania German family who lived here from the late 1760s to 1913. Quiet Valley is dedicated to educating, engaging, and inspiring visitors through first-person tours, programs, events, field trips, workshops, and more. Quiet Valley is a member-supported organization. If you are interested in joining please see the Join and Support page of our website. There are a number of special benefits for members such as free admission to Farm Animal Frolic, Summer Tours, and Harvest Festival. Please check out our website at quietvalley.org for more information.

Have you met Reuben and Randy yet?
We would like to take a moment to appreciate our draft horses, Reuben and Randy. Draft horses had significance on farms like ours historically, as they were working horses that would pull plows in the fields. Our horses are useful today for providing wagon rides and demonstrating how an 1800โ€™s PA farm would operate.

Just like many of our programs and activities on the farm, having these horses would not be possible without support. Please consider visiting them on the farm and making a donation toward their care. As growing horses, they need frequent shoe changes, attention, and lots of food! (They eat 150lbs of food a day!) If you are so inclined to donate, you can send a check, visit us in person, or click donate on our website (please specify that it is for the horses).

Thank you so much for your consideration and continued support! We hope to see you come visit us soon!

๐Ÿด๐Ÿด -Randy and Reuben thank you!
