Wilder Memorial Museum, Inc. We are open for the 2026 season, and are excited to share the heritage of Strawberry Point and Northeast Iowa with you!

Scheduled tours outside of seasonal hours are welcome; give us a call! The Wilder Memorial Museum is one of Northeast Iowa's greatest treasures. Containing artifacts which rival those found in much larger communities, our visitors are astounded in the vast size, and quality, of our collections. During your visit you will find military items dating to the Revolutionary War, Victorian art glass and

furniture, including a collection of forty hanging lamps, and correspondence from well known individuals such as Lyndon Johnson, Will Rogers Jr., and Helen Keller. An amazing collection of Meissen and Dresden porcelain as well as a large exhibit of Impressionist paintings by local artist Myrwyn Eaton make this museum worthy of many return visits. While touring the museum, make sure to look for our connections. Not only between various artifacts within the museum, but also to your own history. It is these connections that make the Wilder Memorial Museum and the community of Strawberry Point feel like home to our many visitors. Museum Mission Statement

To preserve and maintain collections reflecting the heritage of the people of Strawberry Point, Iowa and the surrounding communities, promoting education and increasing awareness of the culture and diversity of Northeast Iowa.

It’s very hot outside, but it’s very cool inside the Wilder Memorial Museum at 123 West Mission St. in Strawberry point. Didn’t you always want to see what was behind our closed door now is your opportunity and it’s not going to charge you anything to cool down and get rid of your summer boredom .
