The museum features Historic Main Street, The Elk Township Schoolhouse, The Prairie Log Cabin, & Genealogical Library.

Dr. Sandra Madsen, who taught at Buena Vista from 1973 to 1999, left a lasting impact as an educator, mentor, community leader, and advocate for women. Her life of service, learning, and adventure inspired generations of students and colleagues.
