Welcome to Dragonfly Art Studio. I have been teaching for 32 years in my studio. Painting is my joy.

Studio classes provide instruction with an
emphasis on perspective, color and composition in charcoal, pastel, oil, acrylic and mixed mediums.

As we usher August out I’m delighted to share the fantastic art being produced from Dragonfly Art studio & the Senior center in North Stonington. I’m looking forward to the cooler temperatures that will make plein aire painting more desirable. Enjoy the art work from this past week.

The last half of August has been jam packed with creative endeavors, family birthdays and joyful art classes. My first born grandchild has gone off to college….. where does the time go?

Fabulous week of creativity from Dragonfly Art Studio and the North Stonington Senoir Center. I’m blown away by the work in progress and finished paintings from these two wonderful groups of artists!!!

The Studio was closed last week and the Senior Center was also closed so I took advantage of the time off and worked on a portrait of my son in oil paint. I painted this portrait with palette knife. I’m finally finished but it’ll take quite awhile to dry.
I look forward to seeing all my lovely students this week.

The Stonington area is filled with creative talent and I’m lucky enough to spend time with a number of talented artists every week. Dragonfly Art Studio and the North Stonington Senior Center were at their best this week in that department! I’m so proud of these two groups and pleased to share that the Senior Center is up to 10 artists now. Most of them are beginners and you’ll be amazed at their work. For my new students I always paint/draw the still life I’ve set up for them so they can observe techniques. Other new students working from photos are assisted with whatever they may need from me.

I’m posting a few days late because of graduation and birthday celebrations in the family this past week 🤩🥳💗

Fantastic week in the Art Studio and the Senior Center on North Stonington. I had a fantastic time in Ocean City celebrating my youngest sister's birthday over the fourth🥳🥳🥳
I welcomed a number of new students who have joined the NoSto Senior Center and I'm excited to share their very first paintings. There is room for more students and I welcome all levels to both venues. Enjoy 😊

A beautiful week in Stonington CT this week. Great creativity and fabulous weather to stimulate the imagination. I managed to paint en plein aire in my backyard. 😊 I hope to get my students outside one day for this delightful experience. The flowers from my gardens are featured in the beautiful still life paintings from my talented and delightful students. Enjoy 💐
